BMC Software’s AppSight Application Problem Resolution System Wins InfoWorld 2008 Technology of the Year Award
Awards honor top technologies impacting IT in 2008
HOUSTON, January 22, 2008 — BMC Software [NYSE: BMC] announced today that the InfoWorld Test Center has named BMC AppSight Application Problem Resolution System a “Top Technology Impacting IT in 2008” and honored it in the Application Development category of its 2008 Technology of the Year Awards.
Selected by InfoWorld Test Center editors and reviewers, the annual awards identify the best and most innovative products on the IT landscape. Winners are drawn from all of the products tested during the past year, with the final selections made by InfoWorld’s Test Center staff.
Using software technology analogous to an aircraft black box flight recorder, the BMC AppSight Application Problem Resolution System optimizes application development by automating problem resolution -- a process that consumes a significant percent of a development team's time during testing and support. Over 1,000 enterprises and independent software vendors (ISVs) rely on BMC AppSight to improve staff efficiency, enhance application functionality and quality, and accelerate software project delivery dates.
